At Aces Minigolf we regularly hold competitions for our club members and also for the public.
We have also hosted tournaments that are included on the British Minigolf Assocation Tour.
In competitive minigolf, players have the option to use a different minigolf ball on each hole they play in a round. Minigolf balls are made with many different levels of weight, bounce and surface covering that allow players to fine tine their shot to give themselves an improved chance of scoring a hole in one (or an Ace as it is known!). Players also play with special rubber faced putter that helps improve pace control.
If special balls and putters all sounds a bit complicated for you, don’t worry! Our course is designed in such a way that a golf ball and course putter are all you need to be able to score low. There is no doubt that minigolf equipment can aid a players consistency but some of the best scores hit around Gloucester have been with a golf ball only.
